Marina Sirras is the Principal of Marina Sirras & Associates LLC. She has more than 30 years of
experience recruiting attorneys. Marina is an active member of the National Association of Legal
Search Consultants (NALSC) and is a past President and Chairman of the organization.
As a first career, Marina was a marketing analyst for The A.C. Nielsen Company’s Food and
Consumer Products Division and Warwick & Legler, a New York mid-size advertising agency
(now defunct). Later, as a "stay-at-home mom", Marina owned and operated several small
businesses and was a great volunteer.
In 1986, Marina began her career in legal search at one of the largest New York search firms
and in 1987, in partnership with Kai Cramer, formed Cramer & Sirras, Inc. Marina took over full
control of the company in 1991 and changed the name to Marina Sirras & Associates.
Marina is often called upon to comment on trends in the legal recruitment industry and has been
quoted numerous times in legal publications and featured in an article in the ABA Journal (July
2005) Marina has spoken at many conferences including:

Kate joined Marina Sirras & Associates in 2011. She is a national legal recruiter, specializing
in the placement of partners, counsel, and associates in all practice areas, including:
Clients include major international law firms, midsized general practice firms, specialty boutique
firms, and corporations. Prior to recruiting, Kate worked as a legal assistant for several law
firms, including Pennie & Edmonds, a former intellectual property firm in New York City. She

Carla joined Marina Sirras & Associate in 2001 as a recruiter specializing in Latin America
related placements. She has extensive experience placing partners and associates in major
international firms and has also placed attorneys in multinational banks and companies, both in
the U.S. and in Latin America. Carla has helped quite a few US law firms to establish their
presence in Brazil by introducing partners and associates to their respective offices in Sao
Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Prior to moving to New York, Carla was a lawyer in Brazil where she specialized in commercial
litigation. She graduated from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Brazil,
and earned a Master’s Degree in Civil Procedure at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São
Paulo (PUC/SP), Brazil. In addition, she studied English in Oxford, England. Her native
language is Portuguese, and she is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.

Chris Sirras brings a dynamic blend of strategic leadership and marketing prowess to the table,
serving as the Managing Director of Marina Sirras & Associates LLC. He specializes in the

Real Estate, Labor & Employment, Litigation, Bankruptcy and Tax.
With over a decade of experience as a Senior Account Director at Advantage Unified
Commerce, Chris has spearheaded marketing activations that drove business growth and client
satisfaction for large-scale consumer packaged goods companies and major grocery, mass, and
value retailers. Prior to this, Chris held pivotal roles with agencies in the sports marketing,
advertising and staffing industries.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The University of Richmond
and an MBA in Marketing from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of
Business.
