The recent move toward international partnerships has increased the demand for U.S. trained and educated attorneys all over the world. Having multinational capabilities and expertise within a single firm enables the firm to better serve a client's needs in any part of the world. At the present time, Marina Sirras & Associates LLC is conducting searches for law firms and corporations for their Sao Paolo, London, Singapore, Sydney, Milan, Rome, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, Frankfurt and Moscow offices. In addition to practices outside the U.S., many firms now have international practices within U.S. borders.
Among search firms, Marina Sirras & Associates is uniquely qualified to perform these searches and has been placing attorneys in foreign offices since 1990. We are continuing to build a network of associates, partners and practice groups who are interested in working abroad and in being part of the multinational explosion.
Qualified candidates who are fluent in any Asian or European language are very much in demand. Additionally, there are numerous international opportunities available for attorneys with stellar academic and professional credentials where languages are not a requirement. Opportunities to work overseas increase daily due to the global expansion of business.
If you have any questions regarding the possibility of an overseas placement, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Latin America
Marina Sirras & Associates LLC (MS&A) has expanded its activities involving Latin America. The Latin American market has bloomed, with numerous deals involving privatizations, mergers and acquisitions and IPOs within the energy and natural resources sectors, as well as the telecommunications, technology and other industries.
A Note on Brazil
Latin America is composed of 30 countries with at least seven different ethnicities and with a total population of over 500 million inhabitants. Brazil alone -- with its continental dimensions -- has a population of about 190 million inhabitants and is doubtlessly one of the richest countries in the world in terms of natural resources. In the first decade of this 21st century, Brazil in particular has experienced an economic boom. The trust of foreign investors from all around the world in the Brazilian economy has increased to such a level that we have started to see new phenomena on the business front, such as Brazilian companies on the acquirer's side of a deal, as opposed to being acquired or Brazilian companies trading on foreign exchange markets. In our industry, a notable development has been the increasing number of U.S. and U.K. law firms opening offices in Sao Paulo and in Rio de Janeiro (Sao Paulo is the largest city in Brazil and in Latin America).
These changes reflect only the beginning of an even greater economic growth for Brazil, Marina Sirras & Associates LLC is proud to have been actively working in Brazil for almost a decade and has been following closely its progress. We hope that the growth continues and that the economic success of the country continues.
